Enable ClearType on Windows Mobile 6

ClearType is a feature built into Windows Mobile that can smooth the edges of screen fonts for many programs. There is an option to enable ClearType in Windows Mobile 6. However, on most devices it is disabled by default. In the following quick ClearType tutorial, I’ll cover the process of enabling ClearType on your Windows Mobile device.

How to enable ClearType on Windows Mobile 6 devices:

  1. From your Windows Mobile device, navigate to Start->Settings and select the System tab. Now click the Screen Icon
  2. From the Screen Settings menu, click the ClearType tab
  3. Check the box to Enable ClearType and click ok:
